Travelling by plane

The faster and more convenient way to get to Braga from abroad is by plane. You can fly to Porto Airport (about 54km from Braga) or to Lisbon Airport (about 358km from Braga). On June 21, conference participants will be bused from Santiago either to Braga or Porto. If you plan to stay around Santiago, before or after the conference, you can fly to Santiago Airport (about 200km from Braga). However, please note that there are no convenient ways to travel from Santiago to Braga unless you travel by car.

The three airports are marked in the map above.

If you fly to Porto, you can take a taxi to Braga, or you can take the Metro or a taxi to the City of Porto and then catch the train to Braga.

If you fly to Lisbon you can take a taxi or a bus to the Oriente Train Station, and from there take a train to Braga.

In both airports you will be able to rent a car (you can find the contacts on the airports webpages). Please make sure that your driver's license is valid in Portugal.
